MAC OS PANTHER DRIVERS?
Hi a friend of mine gave me this iBOOK G4 and it is preinstalled with MAC OS X 10.3 and i wanted to reformat the laptop with the same os. But i had never formatted any laptop with a Mac os, so my question is if i reformat this laptop will i need to find the drivers like those in windows os or is it all drivers provided in the Mac Os X cd's? and all those applications like calculator, word pad, or typing utility eg. MS word and others inside the OS PANTHER CD? or we should find and install it seperately? thank you in advance.

All the drivers and basic applications suc as iChat, Mail, DVD Player, Safari, and TextEdit (which can open word documents) are included on the Panther CD. Desktop applications such as iWork, iLife, MS Office, Photoshop etc are not included and will need to be purchased seperately.
Incidentally, as long as your G4 CPU is 867MHz or faster, and you have 500Mb or more of RAM, then you should be able to run OSX 10.4.5 Leopard, or failing that if it is 333Mhz or more and has at least 256Mb of RAM, try running 10.5.4 Tiger.

Its in basic terms the way the words have been written. computing device and abode windows are no longer the comparable element. a computing device is incredibly something thats no longer a mac. that contains Gateway, HP, Dell and quite a number of others. by way of fact of that, abode windows desperate they couldnt limit it to a particular sort. instead, they provide you a license key. you ought to use the main on any computing device you opt for, yet in basic terms as quickly as. Mac on the different hand, their application is geared up for their mac structures, its no longer a application to easily purchase like abode windows is. in basic terms positioned, OS X comes with all macs, all of them have it. computers have been in no way meant to run it. maximum computers dont have adequate skill in the CPU to run it. abode windows is designed to run on something its positioned into, piece of crap or million dollar gadget. Even a mac. The mac OS could be put in on as many computers as you opt for, they only must be macs. abode windows could be put in on any single computing device of your choosing.
