Any techs out there? Reformatted and mouse problems
I reformatted my sis's computer after she'd had lots of problems with viruses. I found out that she'd only been running Ad-Aware, no real virus program. Had tried to put AVG on there, and had problems after finding out that she hadn't been getting her downloads. Finally figured I'd just reformat and fix it all, and start from scratch.
My problem is: After a successful reformat, I was looking through programs, not yet online, and noticed that some of the USB drivers needed to be reinstalled. Before I could do that, the mouse quit working on me. We were weary after 3 hours at the computer, so we just decided to start fresh tomorrow.
I need to figure out how to get that mouse working in order to go any further. Can someone help me please?

When you reinstall everything you should start completely fresh and reformat the boot sector of the hard drive too. This can usually be accomplished with a boot floppy and the FDISK command.
