Yes! An SUV hit me and broke my pelvis. They said it would be six months before I could walk, but it was only six weeks. I'm finally working again part-time, and making MUCH less than my high-pressure salaried management job that required 70 hours a week on my feet. I've been staying with relatives and hope to return to my own place soon, but it has quite a few stairs!
I'm completely bummed out about it. The physical recovery hasn't been so bad considering the injury, but it's tragic that commuting by bicycle is so unsafe in my area. (And please, let's not even discuss the financial ramifications!) It doesn't seem to matter that bicycles are protected as vehicles or that I have all kinds of bright flashy lights and reflective tape: if they aren't looking, then they aren't looking! I desperately want to be fit, economical, and planet-friendly, and I especially want to have fun in gorgeous weather, but it isn't worth an ER trip!
Other cities are more bicycle-friendly, fortunately! Here, though, I'm afraid I'm a slave to the almighty gas tank.

Many... riding on the handle-bars as a 5 yr old, caught my foot in the front wheel.
My "best" accident was when I was commuting on my bike and an idiot ran a red-light. I hit him doing about 12mph JUST as he stopped in the middle of the intersection. Up over the hood, with the bike still stuck to my feet.
Thank God for gloves and helmet !!

loads of times. I once drove straight into a parked car because the sun was in my eyes... it put my tooth through my lip. And when i got a new bike which didn't have brakes on the steering handles (you had to peddle backwards to brake) it took me a bit too long to get used to this. I drove down a hill full speed, got stopped when i hit barbed wire fencing, flew over the fencing and straight into a bush of stinging nettles. Now that's a story.

Mine wasn't that undesirable. while i became right into a new child i became into using my bike close to an apple tree, ran over some rotten apples, and ran top into the tree. I have been given somewhat skinned up, yet no longer sufficient to truly harm. I incredibly have had some embarrassing cases on a bicycle. while i became into youthful I had hardship employing the breaks. So the only way i ought to end became into to snatch carry of my mom's clothesline. sooner or later I went below the clothesline and landed in a pile of trash. back then it became into ok for human beings to burn trash of their yards. i became into fortunate the trash wasn't burning that day.

Yes, a couple. The most memorable was when I actually rode into a horse which had bolted out of a field into the road in front of me. I was going so fast I couldn't avoid it. Horse was OK, bike was ruined! I rode into it so fast that my crotch made painful contact with the handlebars and my foot pushed against the pedals so hard that one actually came off!

No but 2 years ago I was taking turns on my 5 year old grandson's scooter, riding downhill, on the sidewalk. I hit a patch of grass and wrecked. I broke my hip and shattered my wrist. Ouch!

Yes, a few weeks ago I hit the back of a parked car. The tendon on my right forefinger is damaged and will take a long time to heal.

Quite a few times. Been to hospital on four different occasions for bike related concussions. Small price to pay for all the enjoyment though.
