Ectopic Pregnancy Recovery?

I had found out that I was pregnant and my baby was in my right tube, all in the same day :-( They immediately rushed me to surgery because as they said my tube could have ruptured at any minute because of the size of the embryo. During the surgery, they ended up removing my right tube....that was exactly one week ago. My doctor said that I should be able to go back to work this week but physically and mentally I'm just not up to it.

I know the mental part will take some time as well as the physical, but I just wanted to know about other women's experience's.

I am so sorry :(. My first pregnancy was an Ectopic with which they also removed my left fallopian tube. I took it pretty hard as we had been trying to get pregnant for quite some time and I went through so much pain before they discovered what was going on. I stayed at home for 3 weeks after the surgery and then went back to work. Emotionally it took a while for me to recover. I just took it day by day and had faith that if I was meant to I would get pregnant again. I also planted a fuchsia (some women plant trees) in honor of the lost pregnancy and taking care of the plant and watching it bloom was rather therapeutic. Take care of yourself and give it time.
