Transferring music files to MP3 player

I have an Sansa MP3 player that was a gift from someone. I'm trying to put various music on it but only some of them work. For the ones that don't work, when I rip the song from the CD it comes across with no information in the file and then if I try to transfer it to the player it comes across as an "error". What I've narrowed down is that the file name ends in ".cda" for the files that won't transfer. The ones that ARE on the player end in ".wma" I tried renaming the file with .wma at the end. I was sure it wouldn't work, but figured it was worth a shot.

Any suggestions for someone who is not particularly technologically inclined?

You can change file format from WMA - Windows Media Audio to MP3 which is also available in Windows Media Player under Rip menu, and then Format. If your player supports WAV format you can use it as well to have better quality but with MP3 you will make economy on space. If it doesn't work the reason can be that license file is required to play that music but you can get this license while working online automatically, and try to play the first in computer and later transfer it to player.

Read Mine! Your MP3 player should have come with a USB cord. You plug that into your USB port on your computer. Either your computer will recognize new hardware or you can simply go to your "my computer" icon; find something in the list that appears to be the MP3 player icon and open that. Once you have your screens loaded up it's all about clicking and dragging. Click on one of your music files so it's highlighted then click and hold to drag to the MP3 player. This should turn out perfect. Good Luck
