computer problem, turning on?
i recently installed a second cd drive on my computer ( there was one there before) i installed another one because the other one burned out...any way the cd drive works fine, but every time i turn on my computer it goes to a black screen and says it cant find 3 cd drives..it can be bypassed if i press the f2 button but its annoying, is there a way i can get rid of the black screen??
forgot to add detail this is how it goes
drive 1 not found: serial ATA SATA -1
drive 2 not found: serial ATA SATA -2
drive 3 not found: serial ATA SATA -3

I've never seen one freeze up, but to use both, one will have to be set to slave. There are little jumper setting on the back of the cd drive which you can do this. You can't have two primary optical drives. Try this and see if it resolves the problem. I imagine it will if your system functioned properly before installation of the second drive. Remember, one primary/master, the other secondary/slave. Good Luck.

cmos?? or Bios and there might the possibility thats the wires are in the wrong placed or reversed
