Help! How do I deal with the green-eyed monster?

Hey all,

I have an awesome friend who I just love to bits but lately I can't help but feel like everything great seems to be happening to her. We're both young, but unlike her, I have to work two jobs (and still never seem to have enough money), don't have a boyfriend and haven't had one in ages, and am going through some really dodgy times with my family. I'm basically on my own. On the other hand, she's got a really supportive family who are funding her education, is loved by pretty much every guy out there, and her dad just bought her a brand new car. I know its horrible and petty of me, but I can't help but feel incredibly jealous. I've just never had things handed to me, and I wish I could! I would love to have a family that cared that much, were supportive of my education and bought me gorgeous cars! It would be great to be adored by guys, but its just not happening. I dunno, what do I do? HELP!

Everybody has different situations. Make the best of what you have because what you have is more than what someone else has somewhere.

Are you talkin' bout the HULK? Cuz I'm also jealous of that green monster that can tell the Government to shove it! Oh, I see, you wish you had superpowers so you can steal fancy cars and loving families and boyfriends. Well you only need a slutty skirt to steal boyfriends. But it's a great idea and I think it's great that you feel sorry for yourself for not having anything instead of being happy for your friend that she has a loving family and people that love her. You're really something special you know.

its normal to feel jealous and even resentful towards your friend, dont worry it doesnt make u a bad person. but if anything u should feel sorry for her, once everyone stops supporting her she wont know how to support herself, u on the other hand know what its like to live in the real world so feel proud of ur independence, besides i think guys respect that a hell of a lot more than some prissy girl who gets everything from mommy and daddy.

I am going through the same thing and the truth is...there's really nothing you can do. Just try not to focus on what she has and you don't. focus on all the good things you do have in your life. Things always have a way of working out. Life is way too short to be anything but happy.

your problem is this you put to much value in the material things that your friend has.instead ofbeing grateful for what you have .don't you know that a lot of people would love to be in your shoe's / have 2 jobs / don't you know that everybody is not rich like bill gates .if you want the education/material possesion that your friend has then you'll have to work for it.i had friends who got new cars before me / i made it my goal to work hard / get my own new car /when i did my friends were a little envy of me but they respected me because i worked hard for what i wanted.
