Go to http://www.snopes.com/ and type in "Bakken Formation." You'll get the truth on this. Yes, it exists; yes, there is oil to be found there, but it would be another 5-10 years before we could start using it if we started drilling NOW. The experts estimate only 10% of it could be recovered, and since it's oil shale it would have to be processed. That begs the obvious question: Is it worth the time, effort, and taxpayer money to go after it? I don't have an answer for that...

I have seen the ad. This is a guy who is looking to take your money through a false investment. While there is a lot of oil under Montana and North Dakota it is no where the amount he states. Plus getting it right now has too many obstacles such as this is still sacare ground to the native Americans.

Now if they want to process it, the native American can do so with out congressional approval because it is their lands.

from your "source", it appears this guy myers is peddling WSEG stock, so if you believe in him, you should run out and buy the stock. Or you can think about investing in alternative energy like sun, wind and water. Your choice, but when your WSEG stock tanks, don't blame anyone but yourself. And no, there is no easter bunny.

Oil shale will provide over 500 yrs of oil for our great country, now to get the dimwit Democrats to MOVE is another issue

Coal to liquids, Natural gas to liquids all are viable alternatives to foreign oil, we have over 500 million registered vehicles and they aren't going to run without gas, so drill now and do it
