look @ SONY KDL40S4100, new tv that just come out about a month ago. The reg like 1599.99 but you can get it for way better if you go to the right store and there sony Authorized Dealers too. Always have good deals. Telecity Electronics is the place. Better service and prices then big stores

For $1200, you should be able to get a nice 40 inch TV or an even better 37 inch. I recommend going to the store and checking out the individual models, then coming back home and finding a good deal online.

Spend half of that amount on a Vizio 42-50 inch 1080p TV. They are a newer brand, but they have 1/16th amount of employees and overhead as other top name brands. These are incredibly good quality TV's. They are just as good as Sony, Phillips, LG etc. I spent over 2 grand on an LCD tv and regret it after the reviews and images I've seen with Vizio TVs

i have a samsung, and i really like it. I have heard good things about vizio. www.amazon.com has some good deals on samsung tvs and www.outpost.com or www.frys.com.
