which brand hair straightener to buy?

im so sick of wearing my hair up because its too frizzy and poofy to wear down. i finally have enough money to get a hair straightener.

im looking for one of good quality but not one that is a rip off. i want one that wont do too much damage to my hair. i dont plan on using it everyday. i want one that can curl and straighten my hair.

i want one thats not too much money..like maybe 100 $ dollars at the most, one that is sold at like target or something.

my hair is frizzy, pretty long, wavy and thick! it has a lot of volume. curlers dont work and i have this crappy 15 dollar straightener that is a piece of crap.

what straightener do you ladies recommend?

It's got to be GHD's - once you try them you will kick yourself for wasting time and money on cheaper ones.

I never thought I was one of those girls that could have straight, smooth, shiny hair but thanks to GHD's I am!

I paid £100 (approx $200) 5 years ago and they are still working just as well as the day I got them.

If your hair is really curly and resistant to heat styling, get a CHI. If it's just a little wavy or straight and you're just cutting the frizz, I like Wigo irons because they have temperature control and they still work pretty well for most hair. Wigos are usually under $100 and CHIs run a little over, but wait until they're on sale (JCPenney's salon runs sales on them pretty often).

i have a vs sassoon hair straightner and it works miracles on my hair.

my mate came over to my house one time, and she claimed she was never able to curl her hair because she straightened it so much.

so i curled her hair with my straightner (yes you can do that, if you didn't know) and it curled.

i find, that you get what you pay for.

if you have a 15 dollar hairstraightner.. what do you expect?

you can't get lovely straight hair from a crappy hairstraightner.

invest in an expensive one, where you know you'll get what you pay for.

the ghd hairstraightners are fabulous aswell.

    although, rather expensive- $300..

i'm not sure if you're willing to pay that much though.

    ps.

i bought my vs sassoon at target for about $150

    GHD's..

in Australia cos about 300$..I have one and it has lasted me 4 years, you need to take care of it. It uses magnetic technology and even in humid weather your hair dosn't go completely curly again. It's the only hair straightener that has worked for me!

    GHDs!!

they are definately the best type of straightners and worth the money. they are about £120 (im not sure how much that is in $) but you will definately get your moneys worth for them.

and they dont break as easilyas other cheap straightners.

    chi's are the best.

but there not worth what you can get a retail store for 150$.

if you get it off of ebay its around ehh 70 dollars.

    its a really good buy.
