if it is illegal to employ illegals shouldn't it be illegal to educate and give medical help to illegals?
I ask this because I employ latinos and their kids go to the local schools. Before the media attention about illegals I assumed the people working for me were legal because their kids were in the local schools. How can something illegal be legal in a school? Is the government hypocritical?

It actually should be. I am a US citizen and if I can't afford medical care and it's NOT an emergency, I don't get to see a MD..people think you can go to an ER and be seen no matter what and that is not true..In a case of life and death, it's inhumane to refuse treatment but once they are stable, deport them. I work in a public school and I have seen many kids .. American kids fall thru the cracks because they don't get the individual attention needed because teachers have to spend the entire class period working with illegals trying to teach them when they either can't speak English and don't want to or whatever. Why should an American kid not have that teachers help when their family pays the taxes. Illegals get free lunches. I have seen American kids not eat because their parents make too much for free lunches but not enough to pay for school lunches. School lunches here have tripled in the last 2 years to pay for the FREE lunches. and the behavior problems of illegal students.. I won't even go there. It's not fair. students have enough trouble today learning the things they have to know just to function in today's world..why should they get left out because illegals get all the attention.

Yes of course, if you are a sane thinker or have not been paid off to be prejudical. With the following provisos.
If a child is born in this country they should be educated. Even if the parents are illegal. Of course, it shouldn't be very long before the parents are caught and deported if things were done right. Until sanity returns to the Senate and House, children should be cared for. They do need to be off the streets and out of trouble. I am less worried about their education and more worried about their being watched and disciplined. Mom and Dad are obvioulsy criminals and care little for law and order and it's as good a bet as any, that they don't care for their children properly in these terms as well.
Otherwise they wouldn't bring them here or have them here. Look at the suffering that many have brought on children who have been here for long periods of time illegally and now the jig is up ...they are skewed! Compliments of their parents who thought they could get away with something.
Speaking of having them here. We spend billions of dollars paying for illegal mothers to birth their babies here. The laws that allow anchor babies need to be stopped. If you as an adult, come here illegally, if you birth a child here, there should be no permission to allow that child to have citizenship until the cost of the birth is paid. TOO many hospitals and the state are going broke paying for illegal babies and their births.
And on births and medical care. Yes, they ALL need to be attended and treated. The reasons are only sane and civilized. Sometimes people need help and they should be treat regardless of citizenship.
However, once stablalized they need to leave the country and pay their bills for treatment. IF they don't pay their bills, they don't get to come back or get citizenship until this is done.
It's time to stop encouraging illegal behavior and start protecting those of us who pay for the good stuff that is in the USA. Anything less is a sell out and crime against US citizens.

It depends. If their children were born here, because of the 14th Amendment, they're citizens and many times the parents will use their children as a reason against the authorities to remain in the US. These are called "anchor babies".
Also, many schools in the south western US aren't allowed to ask for verification of citizenship when a student is enrolled, so the children of illegals (if they are illegal) slip in unknown (through ignorance enforced by the law).
As for medical help, it is against the law (and the Hippocratic Oath) to refuse medical help to anyone based on their legality or inability to pay. So an illegal can waltz into an ER, spend a week in a hospital, run up an (easy) $20,000 bill and walk out without paying a dime.

It is. It is against the law to aid and abet the illegal aliens in this country. The dolts in the schools and the dolts in the Hospitals tell us they didn't know who it was they were teaching/treating. That being the case, I would suggest they don't need to be teaching anyone anything, and they shouldn't be anywhere NEAR a hospital.
The excuse to this point is.. the illegal aliens could not be identified. And they could not, and in part because the Mexican Mafia could make I.D. Cards that were better than our government could make. They did not have good Social Security Numbers.. schools and hospitals don't check those items.
We had a knock down fight on the matter of the Real I.D. a couple of years ago and Congress finally passed what they called a secure I.D. It did one thing well, presumably, and that was identify citizens. Thusly, illegal aliens were then left out in the cold.
If you listen closely to what Congress is saying, you are going to get the impression they lied to us in a very serious manner. The .. thing... they produced is a lot of things.. but not secure as an identification.
November 8th of this year it is to be in place. We all have to have one, or we cannot enter a Federal Building or fly. We shall see long about then what Congress is made of.

Yes, the government is hypocritical, and we are forced to pay for all of those illegal children's' education. If something doesn't change soon, we will be digging deeper and deeper into our already depleted pockets.
Best you start going over your employee list to make sure you are hiring only legals. You could face serious complications if you are employing the illegals.

I question how citizens can keep paying for all the benifits illegals recieve when our economy is already so bad. An illegal can have an anchor baby and get everything free while a struggling citizen barely makes ends meet and doesent even dare go to the dr. because the bill they cant pay will haunt them. You may think your cheap Latino labor is a good deal for you,but believe me you are paying a very high price.

First, the supreme court ruled that states must provide K-12 education for everyone regardless of Immigration status.
Second, do you know where the kids were born? you are assuming they are illegally here to.
Third, now that you know that they are illegals, what are you going to do?

I think they should be legal to get anything!! NO papers, no free education, no medical help, no jobs. All this is paid for by our tax dollars, something illegals do not pay in to. I get sick of supporting everyone else, be it illegals or general welfare recipients. They need to be legal or go home til they can be.

Well, the kids have to go to school. Most illegals have LEGAL children who are citizens. We can't deny them schooling.

Sure...and let their kids roam the streets while they're here instead of getting something valuable like an education that might benefit the world someday. Yea and let them die in the streets of some unknown contagious disease that will wipe out half the population. Yea makes sense to me. NOT
