My RAM memory is shrinking but I don't know why?
Does anyone know why my RAM memory (126mb) is shrinking, I have windows 98 (yes I know old system but...) I run maintenance wizard every day which includes delete cookies, delete temporary internet files, delete temporary files, etc. But my memory has dropped from 98% to 94% to 92% but I don't know why or how to get it back up to 99% Can anyone help with this? Thanks
I appreciate the information about what may be causing the problem however I still want to know how to correct it. Thank you for your response.

The files you are removing/deleting actually reside on the hard drive and not RAM.
The transient and system resident (TSR) modules (also known now as startup processes in WinXP) may have increased, thus occupying more RAM space. The additional TSR may have been installed by an application software or device driver that you installed.
