When it boots up do not select safe mode. Safe Mode doesn't load the hardware drivers for Windows except crucial ones such as monitor, keyboard and mouse etc.
Not much works fully such as sound card and full graphics on safe mode and not supposed to.
Safe Mode is for when you want to sort out a problem with Windows and need it up and running yet limited. Safe Mode is only for technical use if there is a problem with Windows and will only load the strip bare minimum of software and hardware drivers just to do the job.

Usually Safe mode means standby. It depends if it's a laptop or a computer. For a laptop it comes immediately but for a desktop you see an orange LED light at the monitor. Just press a keyboard or turn the computer on. That's happened to me too.

Restart your computer. Watch the screen to see if it is coming back up in safe mode. It shouldn't be after a restart.

Restart the computer
if same problem persist
Click on Start and then Run. Type msconfig in the text box and click OK.
This will again open the System Configuration Utility program.
Choose the Normal Startup radio button and click OK.
You will then be prompted to either Restart, which will restart the PC immediately, or Exit Without Restart, which will close the window and allow you to restart the PC manually.
After the restart, the PC will boot into Windows XP normally and will continue to do so.

if your computer is in safe mode your desktop should look very different and weird. It should say safemode all over the place and your icons should be much to large. to get out of safe mode turn your computer off let it sit for a minute and then turn it back on.
sounds like iTunes is messed up. download a previous version and ditch 7.

The only way to get into Safe Mode is by pressing the F8 Button during loading screen. To get out just restart your PC and dont press anything.

I have the same problem, nothing works. Just let it run of safe mode. The computer is running like that to protect information on it.

You start tapping F8 while in the boot up. As soon as the computer window shows the black back ground with the white chalk like letters, start tapping the F8 key until you see the window showing the Safe mode, etc., etc..

before it hits the windows Xp/Vista boot screen hit the F8 key. This keystroke will key a boot launcher. You can pick whatever mode to boot in. You probably just want normal.
