Looking for a good comic.?

I am looking for a recent comic series that is not superhero. I would prefer DC or Marvel.

I know just the thing for you and it just happens to be my favorite comic series ever. Its the Spawn series by Todd McFarlane. But it isnt DC or Marvel. Its from a company called Image Comics. It is pretty long and is still running. It started in 1992. The story revolves around Al Simmons, an ex military solider who was murdered in cold blood by one of his fellow soldiers. He was an atheist all through his life, so he went to Hell when he died. It was there that he made a deal with the devil that if he could go back to Earth and see his wife again he would give him his soul. Malebolgia (The Devil) agreed, but he added his own little twists.... He send Al, who thought he would just look like his normal self, back in a mask and black attire that were bonded to his body. When he removes the mask, he sees that he is deformed. He then discovers he has been granted powers from Malebolgia but they are limited and when he runs out, he will have no choice but to return to Hell. He now seeks revenge on The Devil for pulling this cold trick on him and the Devil is also sending some of his servants to either kill Spawn (Al's new alias) or injure him, causing him to use his precious powers. Because the faster he runs out, the faster he will have to return to Hell.....

    Hope I Helped.

And if you research Spawn you will see he looks like somewhat your average hero. But he is actually more of an anti hero. Well, your on your own, Im not spoiling anymore....

Source(s): I have read the first 20 or so Spawn comics (And am still reading)
