In math, what is the term where a function will not cross the axis at a point, but rather "bounce" on it.?

For example, if you graph the function f(x)=x^(2/3) it will bounce at the origin. What is the term for what this function does?

Update:

I am not asking for an example of a function which exhibits this trait, I am asking for the term which describes this trait.
