I like them all! Why not give those who excel in a particular sport the opportunity to show their "stuff".

Yeah, I don't get why equestrian events are in the Olympics. Last weekend I watched this BS called eventing dressage. The horse pranced around the arena for 10 minutes. Now how is that a human sport? You may as well have dog agility and obedience be an Olympic event.

Anyway, I love synchronized diving. Synchronized swimming is silly, but I love watching it.

I think yours are all good choices other than equestrian as the horses are marvelous and you never know what one may do. I would agree that beach volleyball should go but only because of the unbelievable obnoxious DJ that they have there this year. If someone took him out with a sniper rifle, all would be good. I'm not real nuts about judged events as there is the political factor involved, which has always seemed to rear it's ugly head....most notably in Salt Lake City when that French judge sold-out.

I agree with you about Synchronized swimming/diving & Rhythmic gymnastics. Another event that should go is Men's and Women's Race walking in (Track & Field). What's the point of that!

Everyone has their own opinions, but sports are only removed from the Olympics if they start to falter in international popularity. That means all sports in the Olympic Games are still relatively popular internationally.

My pick is beach volleyball. Most of the professional beach volleyball players, including Misty May and Kerri Walsh, would rather play indoors. Indoors volleyball is cleaner, with strong jump serves, hand setting rather than bump setting, hard hitting rather than tips, and some strategy when it comes to play-running. The only reason beach volleyball is still alive professionally is because indoors volleyball is more difficult to set up professionally, as it requires at least 6 players on a team rather than just 2.
