I've never been to a casino, what are the rules to the games?

I've heard slot machines are entertaining, and who hasn't seen some form of gambling in movies?

If I was to visit a casino and want to play a few games for the experience of it all, what should I know?

Play blackjack, its the easiest game to learn, its 21 basically, you get dealt 2 cards at the start after placing your bet, and the whole aim is to get the closest to 21, the best hand is obviously a picture card (Jack, Queen or King) as they are worth 10 and an Ace which is worth 1 or 11, up to you. then you can hit or stick, hit means you want another card and stick means you want to stay on your cards, if you go over 21 then your bust and out of that hand. the dealer will then try to get to 21, if you are higher than them at the end then you win.

you can split too but that's getting too complicated so play it simple and you can win.

Nothing that anyone can explain to you here in a few sentences! They have gambling clinics at most of the casinos. You can go and learn how to play Blackjack, Roulette, Craps, etc. I would suggest that you scope something like that out. If you don't know what you are doing, you are going to lose money like crazy.

if you want to win money, please stay away from casinos.

if you want to lose the least amount of money while still have some fun, the rule of thumb is to play black jack and video poker.

these two games are the only ones that have skills involved. by playing the mathematical rules perfectly, you will win 49% of the time while the house wins 51%, which enforces the saying that the house always wins.

please dont touch anything else, especially things like roulette, which is 100% luck.

go to the information desk. most all casinos will explain the simple games to you (slots, spinning wheel etc.) and give short classes on card games (blackjack, baccarat, etc.) for free. Good Luck!!!
