Nowhere does the Bible say money is the root of all evil. Please study more.
The seeking after money or power and authority, whether you have it or not, is said to be the root of all evil
What Eisenhower did during his term in office has nothing to do with money of the USA, only the pledge
The "in God we Trust" motto was actually placed on our money during the time and because of the abolition of slaves. It has not always been on the US money. Some even added after 1900.
I am sorry that I cannot name more than one best answer. There are several very good answers, so I will go with one of the first good answers.

It needs to stay on the money. It's the love of money that is evil, not the money....However I want God to continue to bless America.

I really don't care one way or the other.
I do think it goes against separation of church and state but there are far bigger issues in this country than what a dollar bill says on it, like the fact that it's value is sinking and i have lost alot of money.

I want to keep God on and in everything possible. People want God to bless America. Take God out of the picture and watch with GREAT FEAR at what happens to America then! Right now God is ANGRY but it will be nothing compared to His WRATH when He pours it out on "proud America" who think they don't need God.....Look Out, and WAKE UP People. There will come a day when God will judge the world in righteousness.
For the LOVE of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows. 1 Tim 2:10

I vote to keep In God We Trust on our money. Its funny how so many people don't believe in God yet they are spending money with In God We Trust printed on it. They must truly believe after all. Thumbs down all you want people because it won't change anything.

I don't understand why the government want to take God out the equation. He has blessed this country in so many ways and now we want to disrespect him by excluding him. That's stupid. All the courts have "in God we trust", should that be removed also?

I vote to remove all references to the supernatural from money and the pledge.
Littlemo (above): the "God" reference was added to the pledge during the Eisenhower administration... try again.
Re: additional details - I know... thet's why my answer to Littlemo stated that the reference was made to the pledge during the Eisenhower administration. It was a response to Littlemo's poorly researched claim. She is attempting to make an historical argument where she lies about the history...

This country was founded by God-fearing men and women and we need to keep that on our money.
If they are trying to separate God and state, then why do all government employees get paid holidays for Christmas and Easter?
Just because some people don't like it on there doesn't require us to change it to their liking.

If money is the root of all evil, why do we put "In God we Trust" on it?
- Anonymous1 decade ago
I think it should be left on the money because like thats what the people who built our country had on it and they made the pledge of allegience you just can't change something like that. Thats like changing the name of our country just because a couple of people don't like it. It's just not write.. we owe the people who started our country that.

No, the Constitution talks about separation of church and state.
I would leave it there.
