When was the loneliest you have ever felt?

I had a random week. I'd just split up with my bf, and although i wasn't that keen on him, the idea of being alone scared me. Also, i couldnt stop thinking about somebody else who I'd previously had a thing with...she'd moved on and found someone else, and so i felt like i was left behind and nobody understood. It was horrible!

When my partner (42 years) died, her family were vile. I became suicidally depressed, terribly alone and began drinking. A friend gave me Everclear and Absinthe which I mixed. I lost my job and spent my sleepless nights in an alcoholic state. If I could have found a way to die I would have taken it. My one firm memory of that time is feeling alert one morning and calling my brother for help which he kindly gave.

Last winter. I've always felt lonlier, more isolated in the winter. But last winter I'd gotten used to having my girlfriend for support and comfort, and when we broke up, eh, it sucked, needless to say. The winter was that much harder. Once you get used to having someone around and then all of the sudden poof their gone, it's very hard, and much harder when winter really isn't your season.

When I was marooned on a little island in the Pacific North West.

Every night I go to bed/sleep alone in my big bed. I always wish I had someone to hold and love. I even sometimes hug my pillow imagining it was my soulmate but yeah...

Sad but true.

when i moved out for college and i felt lonely for a while because i wasnt use to my little brother being around any more i feel lonely every time i think about that

Those times when I don't like who I am. There's nothing lonelier than not even wanting to be with yourself... =(

Lonliest...I think I feel more and more lonely these days. So many people around me, big bustling family, friends....still, sometimes, it feels so lonely.
