Are CNN, Foxnews, etc. delayed?
Are these news sites delayed on Business news? I keep up very well with business news. I will see a story on CNBC and then like 2 weeks later I will see it on CNN. Like right now it says, "America is on sale" on cnn and it is talking about the dollar being so weak. I've been watching business news and on CNBC it is, "Most investors are moving into American markets because the rest of the world is on the way down. The dollar is going back up and oil is down."
Does the mainstream only like doom and gloom stories or are they just delayed?

Most economic and business stories are in the "MEGO" category (My Eyes Glaze Over). News on commercial media outlets are designed to attract a crowd so that the advertisers can sell that captive audience during the commercial breaks. So, it's an endless parade of "small child missing", "politician commits adultery", ad nauseum.
CNBC and Bloomberg News know they have a smaller piece of the viewing audience and one which tuned in to hear economic and business news.
BTW, even the newspapers are guilty of delay on business stories. In the closing days of the administration of President Bush the Elder there was a UN Development Bank loan issued to build the Tumin River Delta Free Economic Zone in the area which forms the common border of China, Russia and North Korea. The NY Times finally mentioned it on the front page of their business section four years later!
