Legal question pertaining to employment?
I was terminated from my job last monday because my boss basically lied and said I sent a file that contained private information to a potential client, when I know in fact that I didnt because I kept a copy on my desktop of the file that I sent, but I wasnt able to prove it because he changed my password so that I could not access my computer to prove it. The company is doing really bad and he needed to make budget cuts. He also said in so many words that he was going to fight my unemployment, but i filed anyway. Then yesterday I get a email from him stating that in good faith he will pay me 2 weeks severance....whatever! This is my question though....I checked my 401k and he has not made a contribution to my account since APRIL 28TH! Yet the money was coming from my pay each week. I imagine I am losing interest from my accounts, but this is wrong. I emailed him back and he said he would make the deposits this week, but I'm pissed. What do I do?

you should contact a lawyer that specializes in this stuff and sue him, he cannot do that. I worked for a company that got sued for something like this and they ended up paying the girl way more than her unemployment and 401k put together! The boss was kicking himself in the a**!!

Consult an attorney but if he doesn't make your account whole - including interest - you have an actionable cause. That means you can sue.
