  • advice to give a friend?

So an old friend that I haven't talked to in years text me today to tell me that HER and her WIFE had broken up and did I know of any love spells or witches that could give her anything to make her wife come back to her.

Now I should say that many years ago before I met the Lord Jesus Christ, I dabbled in the occult. this friend and I have had minimal contact except maybe a few friendly Hello's on Facebook so she doesn't know that I have denounced all evil and am now a born again Christian, Not only that, but I do not condone same sex lifestyles.

Problem is I want to help this friend and possibly minister to her, but I don't know what to s say without offending her, after all she is still dealing with a broken heart and she reached out to me for help, what should I say that will comfort her, but still hold to my true convictions?

  • cupcake frosting...need help!?

Recently at a friends party, I had these cupcakes that were awesome. It wasnt the cake part that was so great, that was just a basic yellow cake, but the frosting was not the usual thick frosting that usually accompanies the tops of cupcakes. These were frosted with like some kind of white chocolate frosting and it was hard and very thin layered. It also had some glitter in it. Does anyone know where I could find a recipe like this. I think they also had like some kinda cream in the center, but very little...they were so good cause they were delicate and not the usual heavy cupcakes that are so in right now. 10 Pts best answer...Thanks :-)

  • can anyone provide me with any answers as to what you may think is happening to me?

First I need to say my period is very normal, 28 days 5 days bleeding like clockwork. Well a day before my period was to start, I rubbed some progesterone cream on my belly that my cousin had , she told me that it kept your hormones in balance. Well for some odd reason after that my period was delayed 2 days and now I have been bleeding HEAVY for 9 days with huge clots and soaking through super plus tampons every 15 minutes for the past 9 days!!!! I went to the er yesterday and had a gyn exam with a cbc and everything came back normal and the dr didnt think anything was abnormal, but told me to follow up with my gyn on mon. I dont know if this was because of the progesterone cream or something else, but I'm so aggravated that I'm on the verge of buying this crap just to see if this will stop whats going on with me right now. I am so desperate and frightened. Could this one time use of this cream have caused this and what do I do now??? 10 pts to best answer. Thank you so much

  • Need serious advice on this one...PLEASE!!!?

Ok, so a couple a months ago (Sept) my aunt (who is not actually my blood relative but is my aunt by marriage sister) who originally lived in Fla lost her job. At the time she was seeing a man here in NY and upon losing her job, he told her that she could move with him. I dont know all the circumstances behind it because its a little unclear, but basically she left her apt and hopped on a plane and came here. Well when she got to the airport (I dont think he knew she was coming to be honest) he met her and told her that it wasnt going to work and that he was seeing someone else. Ok...1st...Jilted and Screwed.

In a panic, she called my Mom and my Mom is not the kinda person that likes or appreciates other ppl's drama, but my mom agreed that since she was stranded she could come to her house temporarily til she figured out her mess. She stayed with my Mom for a week and my Mom bought her a ticket back to Fla and my aunt made arrangements to stay with a friend till she got on her feet.

Well, she really didnt want to return to Fla and figured she would do better finding a job and transportation here in NY and I told her that she could come and stay with me, but she needed to go back to Fla, apply for unemployment, settle her affairs and then return.

Well a week later, I hadnt heard from her ONE time until she called me one saturday and said that she was on a train from Fla to NY and that she couldnt stay with her friend because her friend was crazy and she had to get outta there....Great

So she's here. Here's my situation:

I am a newlywed, I have 2 sons of my own, my husband has 2 girls and even though we have enough room for her because we have a big house, she's been here now 2 months with no serious job prospects (although she is furiously looking and has over 25 yrs experience in the legal field) she has no money and she has a drinking problem- we found this out because of empty liquor bottles and she went on a binge. I confronted her and she agreed to go to meetings, but its becoming too much and my husband's getting aggravated.

She does her best to stay out of the house during the day looking for a job and spending her time at the library, and she's the perfect house guest as far as cleanliness, but she has not contributed and runs the electricity in her room and eats for free.

I really need her to go, but I know she has no where. She does have a daughter in New Zealand who wants her to come out there, but I dont know if she wants to do that. Its driving me crazy and soon my marriage will be in shambles. We cant make love because she's down the hall and were drifting apart. I dont have the means to help her financially, so giving her money is not an option.

Someone please give me some advice on what to do and its sensitive because I dont want to hurt her feelings. She's bee through so much, Also, my aunt is 58, but she acts totally helpless and melodramatic.

Oh another thing, the jerk who screwed her over, is an atty with lots of money and promised to give her some seed money to start over. So far he's only given her 300$ and she blew most of that on wine.

  • What's your Thanksgiving Dinner Like?

I'm just curious what other peoples Thanksgiving traditions/Menus are. At my house, my parents (who are long divorced) come over along with a gaggle of family and friends and its usually quite a riot.

My Father who is a diabetic and cant have sweets usually gets into the sweets and my Mother yells...'Bob, I'm not takin you to the ER tonight, I wanna beat the traffic outta the city- stay out those damn sweets before you go into a diabetic coma' As if they're still married.

My 40 yr. old Brother who I see like once a year shows up with about 10 plastic chinese soup bowls to feed himself leftovers for the next week and usually my Ex (father of my 2 boys) and his new fiancee (who by the way stutters) comes and I somehow always end up with her on my team when we play Scruples or Scene It after dinner....thats okay, I didnt want to win this game anyway.

Then my current Husbands Ex (Mother of his 2 daughters) comes with her boyfriend who; last year came in and immediately ran back out the house searching frantically because 'oops, He thought he dropped a bag of weed'

We finally sit down to Fried Turkey, Praline topped Sweet Potatoes, Corn Casserole, Turnips, Stuffing, Ham, Rice and Beans cause I'm a big Rican and according to my Mother...'Ay you cant have any meal without rice and beans' roasted root veggies and Chocolate Kalua cake, and sweet potato pie. Oh and because my Ex's new fiancee doesent want to feel left out....franks and beans....yummm!!!

Its like the Cosby's except everyone needs psych meds.

Maybe this year, I'll have the Dr write me a RX.

    Okay...whats yours and be honest!

  • Playin hooky with my 11 yr. old tomorrow..any ideas?

Ok, so please dont tell me that he should go to school, he's a really good kid, gets great grades and he deserves a break. I havent been spending a lot of one on one time with him because he has 3 younger siblings and its tough, So tomorrow the kid and I are hangin together for a 'mom and son' day. Only problem is, I have no idea what an 11 yr. old kid would wanna do. He keeps givin me outrageous suggestions like Disneyland or Great Adventures...we live in NYC. So it would have to be local and I dont wanna break the bank ya dig? So if anyone can give me any good suggestions I would really appreciate it. Thanks!

  • I'm letting my kid play hooky tomorrow. Any ideas?

Ok...so he's a good kid (11 yrs. old) and gets really good grades plus he's awesome and great company. I havent spent much time with him lately and I feel kinda bad, so tomorrow, were both playin hooky and hangin together.Problem is, I dont know what in the world to do with him. Were native NY'kers and neither of us would really wanna do the tourist thing (Statue of Liberty/Empire State....blehhhh) so I'm wondering what other cool things could we do together in a 8 hours span in this great city of ours.

And please dont suggest Hooters or Scores.....I figure I'd save that for when the kid turns 12.

Other than that any OTHER great ideas appreciated!

  • Questions about Pug's eating habits?

I recently adopted a 1 yr. old pug from my cousin who had a baby and couldnt keep him anymore. When I got him,she warned me that he eats ALOT and that she had him on weight control food which she gave to me. Well partly because we were so excited to have him and we wanted him to feel at home, we gave him lots of treats and I the first few days, I mixed some gourmet dog pate in with his dry food. Now its all gone and he wont eat his dry food alone. He just lets it sit there all day and will only eat it if I give it to him from my hand. I dont want him to starve. What should I do?

Also wanted to mention that she was feeding him Beneful weight control and I switched it because the guy at the pet store said that Natural Choice was better cause it didnt have dyes and lower calories and he ate it just fine when I mixed it with the pate crap. Now he wont eat....ughhhh!

  • Need legal advice in regards to 401k contributions?

I was laid off from my job a couple of weeks ago and upon checking into my investments, I discovered that my boss has not been making the employees contributions to our 401k plan for quite a few months however the money has been coming from our paycheck weekly. He also told us that the company does not match our contributions because he gives big bonuses at the end of the year, but come to find out from the broker that the company's plan IS to match our contributions. I confronted my boss via e-mail who assured me 2 weeks ago that he would make the contributions but as of today 9/11 he has not made any contributions.and my account has not had a contribution since April of this year. Is this illegal and what steps can I take to sue him and do I have a lawsuit against him? Is it worth it to sue? I'm pretty sure I lost money on interest and I'm pissed because he's been taking my money and not doing the right thing with it. Advice please. Thank you so much!

  • Can Mashed bananas be frozen?

I have about 1 lbs. of ripe bananas sitting on my counter. I am using them to make banana bread, but something came up and I am going out of town and I dont want to come back to rotten bananas. Can I mash them and put them into freezer bags and freeze them?

Also what about grated carrots too? I have about 10 lbs of those in my veggie bin that I am using for carrot cake. Can I grate them and do the same?

    Thanks in advance

  • Maybe this will help someone who is considering divorce?

I was recently married in April and from the moment we said "I do" It has been an uphill battle. Just this weekend, I took off to my Moms for a few days just to clear my head.

Yesterday, my Mom and I went to a friend of her's house and she had this poem printed and framed on her wall.

    http://www.yuni.com/library/docs/613.html

Now, I'm no expert in love nor am I any sort of philanthropist trying to save the world, but I read the entire poem from start to finish and it just made sooo much sense to me and I've decided that this would be my approach in my marriage.

We spend so much time blaming the other person for the harm that they've caused us, that sometimes we forget to uphold our own responsibility in our relationships.

Well tonight I came home. I havent seen my husband yet, but I am on my way to the supermarket to pick up some groceries and come back and make him a great dinner, I am going to light some candles and give him a sensual massage and kiss and hold him and give him all the love in the world and assure him that I am his partner in this and I am here 100% and my love is unwavering. Isnt that all any guy wants anyway???

Again...I'm no Doctor, but maybe someone who's going through a selfish phase or trouble in their relationship may get something from this. I sure did.

  • Ok, so I dont have PCOS...?

My doctor diagnosed me as having PCOS or PCOD and put me on metformin without actually having my blood results back. Well I went back last week and my levels came back fine and come to find out that I do ovulate every month...go figure. So now he wants me to have this test to see if my tubes are blocked. He says that I need to go in to the radiologist immediately after my period and have some sort of dye shot into me and have a x-ray, but he warned me the procedure is somewhat painful...oh great! Has anyone had this before and if so, can you tell me your experiences and is it really as painful as he's making it seem? and if my tubes ARE blocked, what is the next step? Thanks so much.

  • Legal question pertaining to employment?

I was terminated from my job last monday because my boss basically lied and said I sent a file that contained private information to a potential client, when I know in fact that I didnt because I kept a copy on my desktop of the file that I sent, but I wasnt able to prove it because he changed my password so that I could not access my computer to prove it. The company is doing really bad and he needed to make budget cuts. He also said in so many words that he was going to fight my unemployment, but i filed anyway. Then yesterday I get a email from him stating that in good faith he will pay me 2 weeks severance....whatever! This is my question though....I checked my 401k and he has not made a contribution to my account since APRIL 28TH! Yet the money was coming from my pay each week. I imagine I am losing interest from my accounts, but this is wrong. I emailed him back and he said he would make the deposits this week, but I'm pissed. What do I do?

  • I'm putting my husband out

My husband and I have been married since April of this year and we've been together a yr and 1/2. We've had out ups and downs, but last night, I went out with a friend (who is more like my lil bro and my husband knows this) for a drink and just to clear my head cause we had a stupid argument earlier. When I got home my husband verbally attacked me saying I sucked his d*** and called me a fat b****, then he physically attacked me by twisting my arm and trying to take my wedding ring off my finger. Well, I was'nt having any of that, so I retaliated and bashed him in the head with an iron. He backed down and asked me to stop. I refuse to be in an abusive relationship,so today I made him get up and pack his things and I'm making him leave. He's being very apologetic, and I dont want my marriage to end, but I think he needs to go for a while, if he stays, I may be liable to really hurt him because I am so hurt right now. Am I doing the right thing or should I let him stay and work things out?

  • Trying to conceive on 21 day cycle?

My husband and I have been trying to conceive now for about 8 months I was diagnosed with PCOS and I am currently on Metformin and will begin 1st round of clomid next month. This whole TTC thing is driving me crazy. I already have 2 children from a previous relationship and so does he, so I am hopeful that this time around (6 yrs later)I wont have too much trouble, but I am beginning to get frustrated. I used to have a 28 day cycle (like clockwork) and now I have a 21 day cycle so I am so confused as to when to count for my ovulation. Has this ever happened to anyone before if you have PCOS or otherwise? Why does this happen and when do I ovulate? PCOS really stinks! Thanks in advance.

  • Earned Income Credit disallowed?

In 1999 and 2000 the Irs disallowed my earned income credit for my niece who I was financially supporting because I didnt have legal custody of her and for some reason my own son who I did have and was the sole providor for because the school that he attended shut down and I didnt have any proof of records that he attended, so they disallowed my earned income credit for 1999, then in 2000, I claimed only my son and they disallowed it AGAIN. Now, 8 years later, the IRS is trying to garnish my wages and I requested an audit, but they tell me I have to pay it first, then they will give me an audit. What should I do? This is not fair and my tax situation is a mess. I owe them like 1900$
