Finding out a last name from a previous marriage?
Is there a way to find out someone's PREVIOUS married last name. She's now married a second time. I want to know what her married name was before. We are no longer friends, so I can't ask her. Is there a free way to find out this information?
It's not so much that I care about my ex-friend's previous last name because of her. I'm writing a book, and it's her ex-husband's name that I care about because he's the real jerk. (Been arrested, etc.) I want to know his last name to look up more info on him, i.e. newspaper articles, etc, but I can't remember his last name, so I figured if there was a way to get her last name, wa-la.

Marriage Licenses are public info. If you knew her maiden name, it sounds like you're looking for the one between that and her name now right? If you knew that look it up.
Divorce records are also public records.
Try your or her county record dept.

Why would it be so important to you to know her previous married name??
I can't really see why this would be such an issue if you weren't even friends with her anymore, lol.

anytime the renew ML or DL it should show up

not that you would admit it truthfully, but why does it matter??? move on with your life and let people live theirs...nothing good ever comes from being nosy either...just my opinion...
