How the heck does it sound chavvish???!!! They such beautiful names, and so elegant. If my soon-to-be-brother was a girl, I atually suggested Evangelina,but he is a boy, so I sadly think we won't be able to use it =(

People are weird. They say THOSE are chavvish, waht about names like Jodii, or Kayleigh, or Amieleigh!! Or Sahnet, Channai..just some of the names on here in the last few weeks.

Evangelina seems like a smoosh of Eva and Angelina. Strange how just that one letter sets it apart from the original.

When we picked names we tried to think of all the shortenings or lengthenings of that name and whether we could put up with our children having those monikas. Evangeline could be Evie,Eva,Evange (Not nice), ange... Have a think!

TBH I'm not a fan of Evangeline either, but it makes a change from Evelyn. What about Emmeline (as in Pankhurst)?
