In the number sequence 24 ___ ___ 9 ___ 15 19
I am having trouble figuring out the pattern. Can anyone give me some hints to solve this riddle.

increments up and down using 9 as the median.

a rather esoteric answer is:
1) 24...1) - 7) + 4 = 9
2) 21...2) - 6) + 3 = 9
3) 18...3) - 5) + 2 = 9
4) 9...base
5) 11
6) 15
7) 19
1) ---> 3) decrease by 3 each
5) ---> 7) increase by 4 each
May be some other interactions which I have not figured out :-))
