  • Matrix math equation help?

I need help figuring out how to solve this equation. I need help going through the steps to solve future problems. If you can, give me the steps so I can figure out the rest of the problems.

    [3x+2] = [ 23 ]

    [ 15 ] [-4y-1]*

*Its supposed to be one set of brackets on each side of the equal sign, so the 3x+2 and 15 are supposed to be in the same bracket and the 23 and -4y-1 are supposed to be in the same bracket.

  • Anyone have an opinion about Microsoft Office Suites 2007?

I can get it at a discounted rate because I am a student and I do need the power point (not just a viewer) for vista.

Our school program has Office standard for $67, office pro plus for $76, or Office Enterprise for $97. Add almost ten bucks for shipping. Are any of the additional programs worth it on the more expensive editions?

Should I buy it since I am going to graduate in May and this would be my last opportunity to purchase it discounted, or should I try Open Office instead? (Haven't yet because I need to go to town to do huge download. Dial up sucks!)

Here is the link to compare the microsoft products.

  • In Ephrata Wa I seen five big jet planes in a row w/ a fighter plane escort off the first plane?

The planes were light colored and at least the size of a commercial jet. They were traveling west and much closer together than regular air traffic.

I just am curious as to what they were and why the formation. :)

  • Need help identifying sedimentary rock with fossils from Soap lake area washington state, have pictures?

For my geology class, I needed to find a sedimentary rock face. No easy task since I am surrounded by igneous basalt flows. As I was driving past Soap Lake, I spotted an embankment of whitish rocks and decided to stop. The rocks almost looked like cauliflower or popcorn. I was hoping it was a carbonate rock, and would qualify as sedimentary. I hit the jackpot and found freshwater fossils. :D Having trouble classifying and describing the depositational environment though. Would it be a conglomerate because it had lots of different particles and fossils? It was overlain with basalt and contained large basalt rocks (fist size) in the carbonate strata along with smaller pieces too. (It was not a graded bed). The particle size varied quite a bit. The strata tapered over a 50 foot area with a maximum height of 20 feet or so. I can scratch it with a finger nail, but don't know about reactivity to acid. (can't find my vinegar).

Can someone help me find the type of fossils?

  • Has anyone bought the Whirlpool Duet washer and regretted it?

I found a pretty good price on a Whirlpool Duet GHW 9400, but it is still a lot of money. My last Whirlpool lasted 15 years and I do a lot of laundry. Family of five and my husband is a farmer, so I need something that will get really dirty clothes clean and able to do big loads. I am worried about the reliability of the front loaders though.

  • If moving, is it better to just switch to Dish Network or keep directv?

We are getting a new house on the same property we live on now. Currently we have directv satellite tv in two rooms, which was installed in 2003. Would it be better to upgrade equipment and change companies or should we just keep our current service?
