Can a person who is HIV+ join the military?
I heard that the regulations changed and people who are HIV+ can join the military now. Is this true?

No; someone who is HIV positive cannot join the military. If you acquire HIV after entry, you are often allowed to remain in the military, although (depending on what you are assigned to do) you may be limited in some areas/duties.

Anton A I think he can, if he kept it a secret. However, I think thinking that life is no such importance to you especially when you know that you're already going to die would psychologically motivate you on thinking that your life has no sense already. If such things would happen, there's a possibility for you to become more motivated to take life of others and to be killed in positive way by joining the military. (quote) No thats not true Anton because you will be tested for all of that stuff on MEPS and whenever you get to basic so if you got HIV dont even try to sneak in because they will find out sooner or later after they do blood and urine tests.

No. Serological evidence of HIV is disqualifying. The source below is the medical standard.

I would think not. That would be placing all of our troops in unnecessary danger with blood borne pathogens.
