Does it make sense for school lunches to mostly include fried foods?
then try to say their trying to improve the health of their students by taking out soda pop machines and snack machines.
i mean our everyday lunch is basically a breaded chicken patty, thats been cooked in a frier,on a bun. with french fries, and then some vege or healthy side item, like baked beans green beans peas etc. or you can also choose a hamburger instead of chicken patty, but thats just as bad. and the hamburgers taste like the most horrid thing youve ever eaten.
then papa johns pizza on fridays...
wtf man.
thats the everyday lunches, they do have one line that always has somthing different like chicken tenders for tommorow i think...but again breaded and fried....anyone see what im saying?

Yep it's just plain wrong and I don't get why they do it. It's a start that they got rid of pop machines. A bit of fried food is okay, but not often. It also depends what you fry it in, hydrogenated oils are the worst. Then the white bread they serve the fried stuff in has little food value too. Check out the labels on ketchup and other condiment bottles, and often at the top of the ingredient list is high-fructose corn syrup, which is basically unnatural chemical sugar.

im not a fan of fried food anymore anyways.
when i was in highschool, we had a class where we got the make the lunch. it was all healthy , home-cooked food. NEVER fries or burgers. ( unless it was hot outside then we'd BBQ")
i duno why schools dont do that more often. im pretty sure majority of the highschools have a kitchen? but i guess thats america for you.
no offence.

yeah, that is totally screwed up. no wonder more than half of Americans are overweight and children are becoming more and more obese!
you should take your lunch to school. it is a shame that they feed the youth of this country that crap. well, at least they are starting to realize something by taking out the soda and snack machines. but that food is killing our children
