Honestly, these people who keep saying "go to work" or "just quit" don't understand... I'm the call-in sick master. Basically, if you've used west nile, you've gone way too far. Best practice for ever calling in sick is use very ambiguous 24-hour symptoms and don't call in with something new every time you call in sick. If I called in with a plethora of illnesses over a short period of time, obviously they're going to know something's up. If I called in over the same period of time with SOME recurring illnesses, they're going to see I probably have a legit problem going on. Want to call in sick tomorrow? Put on your best sick voice and tell 'em you feel like you're running a fever and you're muscles and joints are really aching. That one can even get you multiple days if you want. Just a one-day stint? Food poisoning symptoms. But don't EVER say "I think I got food poisoned" or "I probably have a fever" until they ask if you think you know what's wrong. It's a simple game. Play it well and you're set!

Suck it up and go to work like most of the rest of us. its a tough world but you gotta survive. then next time you have a day off, try finding a job you enjoy doing, and you wont want to call in sick !

Urinary tract infection, frightens the life out of you boss coz nobody wants to discuss "down there".
Even better, it can be a recurring problem.
I can't see anyone firing you because of a "plumbing" problem.
How does a guy know such things... I had a female employee play it on me for 2 years.

I have the same problem.....love to spend those days at the beach.
You need something chronic, so you can use the same excuse over and over. Just tell them your "chronic illness" is acting up again. Practice makes perfect.

say you are not feeling well towards the end of the day and come in the next day and really pile it on. then call in for the next day. so plan 3 days before. do a good acting job and u might get 3 days off...your welcome

Grow up. If you hate your job try to find a new one.
Or you can say you are decapitated.

If you're not really sick, then maybe try ... actually going to work?
