Are you using your Avatar as a mask to hide your personality? ?

we all wear masks to hide our "shadow side" as Jung called it and our masks are more socially acceptable versions of us and no mine doesn't look like me

Y/A chose the Beauty & Style > Make-up section because of the word "mask". I don't usually hide the real me, & I become my own worst enemy because of it sometimes. My avatar looks as much like me as I could make it, & I have photos posted to verify that. My personality is reflected in my answers, so who's hiding? ~:|>

Why do people use avatars to hide. So that when adding a contact people can't look at there picture and reject them because you can't judge an avatar
