I am having problems with my Peugeot 206?

Question

died on Monday and i had the battery changed, now it's fine. But with the battery being disconnected my cd player has defaulted and is asking for a code. 

The car was pre-registered when i bought it so i don't know what the code is? Can anyone help please?

You could take it to auto-electricians if you don't manage to get it off peugeot dealer, they will unlock it for about £20....same thing happened to me it was so quiet without my music.lol good luck.

Did you purchess the car from a peugeot dealer if so , Ring the dealer where you purchessed the car and they will give you the code over the phone this is a four digit code usually on a plastic card in the gray document folder provided with the vechicle. The card also has the key code, imobiliser info on it.

Go to a Peugeot dealer with your log book - they have the codes on computer to unlock and reset

Have a look on the registration documents and see if you can trace the previous owner. If you got it from a trader ask if they know. Try your pug dealer as mentioned elsewhere. If all else fails then buy a new stereo.

have a check in the owners handbook[the one that came with the car]its somtimes writen in there,somtimes on a card;.
