P.S. IF SO, CAN YOU IMAGINE WHAT A "REDHEAD" CAN DO FOR SCIENCE AND MATHEMATICS? ;-)

The logical follow-through: with an absence of suitors, the Blonde Bombshell's value decreases. She becomes merely a Blonde Shell, and Redheads restore order to the Universe. :-D :-D :-D
This scene is simply brilliant. Nash is a fascinating, if somewhat tragic man, and the portrayal here of his sudden connection, the almost frantic excitement against a backdrop of wonderful comedy is endlessly watchable. I probably won't take up blonde-watching, as I find tall and dark far more "inspiring" [;-)], but I do believe thought is tied to emotion. I believe Art, be it painting, poem, symphony, or equation is an expression of deliberations and sensations that we cannot fully name.
However, the idea of a Muse is deceptive. Inspiration rarely strikes BEFORE we labor. We arduously build the pieces, and turn them in our minds until suddenly, they fit together. Nash was "shuffling papers" already, the blonde only made him look up for a moment, and then he saw. If anything, those strong emotions--feelings like Love--aid us because for them we are willing to work even harder. With them, we explore ourselves and find we are even MORE.

The accuracy of the movie is questionable; if you really want to know, you might try the book by Sylvia Nasar. I read that book a few years ago and I don't remember anything like that. Actually, I'm not sure if Nash acted as though he was interested in women at all (except for the two lovers that he had for certain).

I think Eureka is more of what is going on through Nash's mind here.
Great movie. This is one of my favorite scenes....
