Check made out to deceased person?

I received a check made out to my father who has passed away. How do I cash it?

    It belongs to his estate. Whoever the executor of the estate is would have that authority.

    You should have a Letter of Authority from the Probate court that you take to the bank and show them and then you can cash the check.

    With documentation showing you are the executive of the estate.

    wasnt sure how to conact you so ill just do it here and you can delete it when you read: i dont have to turn in the paper until tomorrow;; id greatly appreciate the help...im doing research too
