Why Christians celebrate Dies Natalis Solis Invicti every year?

aka birthday of the invincible sun

Clearly Bible stated that (Jeremiah 10: 2-4)

2 Thus says the LORD: Do not learn the way of the Gentiles; Do not be dismayed at the signs of heaven, For the Gentiles are dismayed at them.

3 For the customs of the peoples are futile; For one cuts a tree from the forest, The work of the hands of the workman, with the ax.

4 They decorate it with silver and gold; They fasten it with nails and hammers So that it will not topple.

This is a Pagan tradition and definitely seek the wrath of god as Matthew 15:1-3 stated

1 Then the scribes and Pharisees who were from Jerusalem came to Jesus, saying,

2 “Why do Your disciples transgress the tradition of the elders? For they do not wash their hands when they eat bread.”

3 He answered and said to them, “Why do you also transgress the commandment of God because of your tradition?

Also, Matthew 15:7-9

7 Hypocrites! Well did Isaiah prophesy about you, saying:

8 "These people draw near to Me with their mouth, And[e]honor Me with their lips, But their heart is far from Me.

9 And in vain they worship Me, Teaching as doctrines the commandments of men.’”

Deuteronomy 12:32

32 “Whatever I command you, be careful to observe it; you shall not add to it nor take away from it.

You celebrated it every year in the name of Chris but in truth you are celebrating your way into hell. Repent before it is too late.

1 Corinthians 10:21

You cannot drink the cup of the Lord and the cup of demons; you cannot partake of the Lord’s table and of the table of demons.

Update:

Just a tradition? Remember this

Deuteronomy 12:32

32 “Whatever I command you, be careful to observe it; you shall not add to it nor take away from it.

Are you not adding pagan holiday since it's clearly stated that you shall not add anything like Dies Natalis Solis Invicti because it's not in the Bible?

Are you not "transgress the commandment of God because of your tradition?"

Please READ the Bible, open your eyes and mind and do not cherry picking. YES, the truth hurts.

Christmas, Easter and Sunday are all among the marks of the false church (Marks of the Beast). They are all pagan days of worship clothed in righteous sounding language to deceive the unlearned.

I stopped celebrating xmas in 1984 after I Learned the truth, how about the rest of you really proving for yourselves just what this pernicious day represents? The proofs are all over the Internet and in all the encyclopedias and in library books.

Most folks are too lazy or too complacent to study to prove what they believe though.

Three words for you..."out of context".

If you think God really gives a horses patootie about silly rituals that may or may not be "pagan", you've missed the boat. What he wants is a personal relationship with you. On judgment day he's not going to be concerned with whether or not you put a tree up once a year. He's more concerned with how you lived your life for Christ. Did you help the poor and needy? Did you give of your time and efforts to help others less fortunate than you? Were you a person of your word? Did you have integrity? Did you put him first? ....just to name a few.

The Christmas tree? just a tradition that for some has little or no meaning and for others it's a special time to be with family and enjoy a good meal. Don't throw the baby out with the bathwater.

I don't sit around and worship that tree. It's pretty. That's all. So is my wedding ring. Should I cut off my finger? Put out my eye?

    Get a grip.

We celebrate Christ's Mass to commemorate His birth, nothing else.

You realize, of course, that Christians were actually celebrating the Nativity of Christ on December 25th *before* Aurelian declared it the birthday of Sol Invictus.

I've wondered this, too. Especially when I've seen more than one question about why atheists get Christmas off with pay when they are a "non-believer".

I don't celebrate it in the name of "Chris," that's for sure.

No, we do not celebrate the rebirth of the sun god, we celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ. It became tradition to celebrate on the date of the celebration of the sun god because the priests wanted to get people to stop celebrating the sun god.

    Big difference.

Christians would not celebrate that every year. It sounds like a Catholic ritual.
