2 year old helix piercing won't heal?

I've had my helix (upper rim of my ear) pierced for about 2 years, and it will not heal.

It still leaks lymph fluid (though it is not inflected). It has bumps of scar tissue on both sides. I wash it every day, and nothing helps. I started with a stainless steel CBR (ring), and tried changing it to a barbel, but that hasn't helped either. Now it's beginning to tilt because the scar tissue is pushing is vertical. I am ready to just take it out and give up, even though I'll be left with this ugly bump on my ear.

I am not allergic to steel - all of my other piercings have steel in them, and healed just fine.

Is it time to give up?

I had two helix piercings in the same ear, and they always seemed a little close together. So the top one would always be sore, especially when i slept on it. So finally after almost 10 years, i decided to take it out. Sometimes it would be fine but it got to a point when it was hurting all the time. I went to a piercing place to get it removed and my ear is so much better off. I would say take it out and try getting the other ear pierced in the same spot. Only my left ear would keep helix piercings. I tried on my right ear twice and both never healed, so i took them out. Good luck.

EDIT: Whoops didn't answer your question. I don't think it's trasy but 12 is a little young IMTHO./EDIT I would say keep with fake piercings for now. It'd be a real shame if you ended up getting pierced at an unreputable piercer because everywhere else refused to do you (I think for most places you have to be 16+ with parental consent and 18+ withouth) and it got infected. And if it didn't, what is school like about piercings? If you were made to take it out, it would mean a lot of money wasted. I wanted my belly done since I was 14... only got it done at 19, though. Also, make sure to do LOTS of research of piercing parlours, healing times, aftercare, jewellery etc etc...

Mine did the same thing and what i did was pierce the bump with a needle/pin and let some of the fluid out and continued to clean as usual then after a while I took the piercing out and let it air for about a week and then put it back in for the rest of the month and continued to do this until the bump went down. now I just wear it and there is a little raised skin where the bump was but it is nothing like the bump it was before. good luck

Try to clean it with tea-tree oil, this is good for these piercings and should remove the scar tissue and then the piercing will heal, you could also try bio oil.

no it is not time to give up!

no don't give up put alcohol and peroxide on it and cause it will take away the keloid which its that bump on your ear and it might help healing your ear as well. when i got my ears pierced i couldn't use the after care stuff i had to use alcohol and peroxide and by rights you really shouldn't use that is but i had no choice i didn't want it to get infected and all my piercings are fine...
