Do statement babies reduce racism?

I have a niece who has had four babies by 2 fathers (One black, one hispanic, both fathers have totally abandoned the kids.) She insists that the she is totally in the right because her babies are strikes against racism. The babies are being raised by her mother while she continues her race relations campaigns and that any objections are based on the racism she is so nobly fighting.

¿Opinions? ¿Advice? These are some sorely troubled children.

Update:

I wish I was making it up. Unfortunately, I am not. As always, the kids are paying the price for parental stupidity.

What does colour have to do with it? If u want to help her, show her that u will always be there for her. Support her and don't be too judgemental, eventually she will see the error of her ways and u'll be there to pick up the pieces.

This is a joke right. I know of no one that would have kids to make a statement. Kids, at best, are a lot of work. If this is true, the girl's mother should be given a medal and the girl should have her tubes tied.

I hate people who have mixed children simply for show, or because they feel its a trend. But sadly, its very much a reality. Not to say she should be a hypocrite, but there is not need for her to express her social views through her children. You have kids with a man because you love him, not because you want your children to be of a certain racial background. If that was the case, its no wonder the relationships between the fathers didnt work out. No one wants to be a part of some personal agenda.

It just adds to the racist stereotype that black men and mexican men just make women pregnant and take no responisibility. What exactly are you trying to get at?

I think it's great- the kids will grow up knowing that those people with different coloured skins are just like them.

It's impossible to be racist when you think like that.

Their friends will come into contact with their siblings & realise that just 'cos they're a different colour, they're the same inside.

I'd love it if the whole human race was a nice, even uniform light brown.

No-one would have any axes to grind about their imagined, rosy-spectacled 'culture'.

My opinion is you are making this story up.
