Is This Wrong? Only Serious Wiccan Answers Please!?

I've found a spell and I want to try it. But the spell is having someone that you choose, meet you. Is this breaking the rule about controlling other people? Please only serious answers. Others will be removed.

Yes, this would be an unfair attempt at trying to control someone. I wouldn't cast a spell with a particular person in mind without their permission.

If, on the other hand...if you were simply imagining some random, faceless person with the energy of love, acceptance, etc. this would not violate anything.

Well Andrew, perhaps you should ask your wife about that...

But a more direct answer would be, if you have to ASK that question, you don't have enough of a clue to control anyone through spells.

Try it, you'll see. It won't work. Spell work is for the enhancement and affirmation of one's self and surroundings, not for controlling others like puppets. It doesn't work that way, and I'd say that to any "ceremonial magician", long time wiccan, or witch who thinks they can control people against their will, call demons out of the depths of hell, manipulate dark spirits and other nonsense.

    Let's stick with reality, here.

First, there's no rule in Wicca regarding the control of another person's actions.

Second, magic simply doesn't work like that. Anyone thinking they can control another's thoughts and feelings through spells is deluding themselves.

Yes. It's called by many as "messing with free will". Why not change the spell to suit your needs and ask for a person that is right, not a specific person.

    andrew, its unlikely to work

it doesnt really work that way

the universe gives you what it can, not what you want

all you can ask for is that it be more liekly that you meet, that you can be in the same place at the same time, if thats possible, but not to control them to want to meet you or that they go somewhere they never do

yes it is breaking the "rules", even if that did work, it is liekly cause and effect will catch up with you

Maybe you should look for a spell that will aid you in meeting the right person...not someone in particular.

    BAD, BAD karma.

I personally believe that spells for love, money etc. are a waste of time, witchcraft is not for things like this.

Yes, it is. Spells should target only yourself, or aim at creating a certain universal tendency. Don't try.

  • Yes, controlling other people is an harm action. But if you asked his/her permission first, and he/she is agreed, then it's ok I think..

    sorry for bad grammar

Yes, you shouldn't attempt to control other people. Bad karma.
