Why did Obama make such a huge mistake in picking Biden for VP?
This does not say much for his judgment.

Biden was one of the first to drop out of the race due to lack of interest on the part of the voters. Odumbers ego is a big factor here. He wanted someone that people have heard of, but would not have the balls to question odumber or his terrorist friends judgment.

I can understand why some of the reasons are that they picked him.
Pros...
Older white man (for some reason, a large section of the voting public always elects old white men)
He's got a ton of experience in Congress, including being strong on national security and foreign policy
He's very steadfast in his convictions, and will argue a point to death
In his youth, he stuttered, so that made him a more determined and focused person (my son stutters too, so I know how hard it can be for a kid)
Cons
He's 65, much too old in my opinion for a vice president
He's been very critical, openly, about Barack, so the Conservatives will have a field day with all the public remarks Biden has made against Obama
Another life long politican, what Obama should be avoiding, not embracing
Oh well, I guess Obama didn't want to win this after all. I can't say now that I'll be voting for him with this VP pick. Not like I'd ever vote for McCain for heaven's sake either. Maybe I'll just stay home.

The Biden selection replaced right into a mistake The conservitive media would be working video clips of Biden asserting that Obama isn't waiting to be president Biden additionally mentioned that John McCain is qualified to be president Biden is likewise very tempermental and could have a Howard Dean like " I actual have a Scream " 2d With Joe Biden's adventure and character kind he could have been extra appropriate to be Secatary Of State Obama could have locked up the presidency if he had chosen Evan Bayh of Indiana or Mary Landrieu of Louisiana This vp %. will backfire on him

I think this is a Kennedy throwback choice. The Young Senator John F. Kennedy brought in a more aged and experienced Senator Lyndon B. Johnson of Texas to help the Ticket and secure Texas.
The problem is Delaware's 3 votes were not in doubt as Texas 24 electoral votes in the 1960 election were in doubt.
I think that Kaine of Virginia could have brought 13 electoral votes and Biden brings nothing. Biden is a poor choice for the change machine and if McCain picks Pawlenty and takes Minnesota that will be it for Obama.

Well, he was forced to pick an adult with meaningful and relevant experience so the list of qualified Dems was necessarily very, very short.
But I do see your point as I believe the choice of Joe "The Lip" Biden will come back to haunt Obama in fairly short order.

His most enthusiastic supporters will now stay home on Nov 4th.
He took the nomination from Hillary by preaching against the Iraq war and promising Change.......now he picks a Washington insider who is owned by huge Defense contractors.
President McCain

Republicans have been saying all along that Barack lacks judgement.
Only now, are the Democrats starting to see what we are talking about.

Well if worse comes to worse at least Obama can have adult supervision now.

Because he wanted me to vote for Mccain. Obama will never be president. Dems made a big mistake with him.

It also doesn't say much for his confidence in getting "change" because of the "newness" of his approach.
