What does your god tell about lives of insects?
I have killed a bunch of insects (a variety of kinds) since as a child. Once I find one isect in my room, I cannot study, sleep and feel relaxed until I kill it. I would like to know that how does god tell us to deal with insects in our lives. Does god really tell something about insects? Anybody knows it? Please educate me.
I will get a bug catcher!!
But my karma has already been huge only about insect killing. I will try not to kill them but I still dislike them...
Everyone, thank you for educating me :D!

God thinks insects have four legs:
Lev. 11:20-3 All fowls that creep, going upon all four, shall be an abomination unto you. Yet these may ye eat of every flying creeping thing that goeth upon all four, which have legs above their feet, to leap withal upon the earth; even these of them ye may eat; the locust after his kind, and the bald locust after his kind, and the beetle after his kind, and the grasshopper after his kind. But all other flying creeping things, which have four feet, shall be an abomination unto you.
Besides that, the bible says it's okay to eat them. Yummy :P

As a Buddhist, I am reluctant to kill anything, even so-called pests. In some cases, when the presence of an animal is a danger to the life or safety of children or others, I may make an exception. However, I do my best to relocate critters, even the smallest ones.
Does "Thou shalt not kill" cover only people? I don't know. I do my best not to cause any killing that must not occur. When I do it, I do it quickly so the animal does not suffer, even if it is an insect. After all, it could be anyone from an ancestor of mine to a future child, according to the Buddhist principle of reincarnation.

I believe that all living beings are Gods angels whether it be a bee or a spider or moth .I used to kill ants when i was young and now i have the worse luck of anyone i know so know to make up for it ' when i see a spider i let it go outdoors to go back to their baby spiders.Remember all insects have life's and family's also and karma is a bad mother scooter so get a bug catcher and let them out doors the next day...Amen.

God is telling us that the only ones that are healthy for humans to eat are the species that have back legs for hopping such as the grasshopper, crickets and locusts. All other species of insects cause unnecessary diseases to grow in the human body when eaten.

The ones to kill are the ones that compare to weeds, briers, and chaff as the Bible refers to other topics. The ones to kill are mosquitoes, flies, roaches, spiders, ants in some cases, gnats, fleas, ticks; these all either bite or carry diseases or both. The rest just leave them alone, just get them into a jar and let them go outside. That's what I do. The rest of them are pretty harmless.

"whoever shoots at a living creature for sport is cursed."
"There is no man who kills [even] a sparrow or anything smaller, without its deserving it, but Allah will question him about it [on the judgment day]," and "Whoever is kind to the creatures of God, is kind to himself."
This is what my religion teaches. I kill and eliminate bugs and insects which deserve to.

well God put insects on this planet for a reason like to feed fish or clean up bacteria or to cut down other insect populations. God has a reason for everything on this planet.

The 10 commandments tell us not to murder.
It means not to murder human beings.
Killing insects is acceptable and necessary. They cause disease.

I do not kill any bugs or animals, i will capture them humanely and set them free. They deserve to live as full a life as you; i tell myself that about the lives of anything.
