Am i eating enough for what i am doing??

i am 5 foot 5 and just under 8st and i try and eat 1500 calories a day, which i find very difficult as i get full easy and don't have much of an appetite so try and eat little and often.

However i am always moving/fidgeting/cleaning when i'm at home, walk ALOT and have a busy labouring job which i am currently working 5-6 days a week, so i would say i'm quite active.

I don't want to lose weight and just want to maintain or wouldn't mind gaining a little. So am i eating too little for what i am doing and risking slowing down my metabolism??

Any advice would be helpful.

I am also very tired a lot of the time and find it difficult to keep warm sometimes.

Your tired because you do not consume enough calories to sustain your energy levels. You're probably not storing energy so you will start losing weight. If you get grossly underweight, your immune system will start to deteriorate and you will have a whole new set of problems.

Do you shiver a lot? If you get cold and start shivering, this is your body's last attempt at raising your body temperature to keep your internal organs healthy. When calories are burned through activity they help maintain your body temp. So if you don't have the calories in you, then you will probably be colder than normal.

About 6 months ago I had the same problem where I needed to just eat more because I didn't have enough energy. It will feel like your force feeding yourself at first but keep it up. Try eating more proteins and carbohydrates. Don't go overboard, but eat higher fat foods to help you gain some weight at first, and then you can refine your diet once you are more comfortable eating larger quantities of food. Eating consistently throughout the day is a good idea, and I wouldn't change that.

Try eating about 500 calories more than what your eating now... oh and about getting full just eat some chocolate.. That contains a lot of fat and a lot of calories AND you don't get full easily on it.

Chill out a little in the day as well. Hope That Helps!

tiredness and coldness signs of not enough cals up it to 1800cals at least u could gain a good 1/2 stone and be at a good weight even 1 stone but that's not necessary if ur okay with ur weight now though dont try to lose weight if u see weight loss eat more! have bigger meals go for 3 meals 3 snacks or 2 snacks the meals being 400-500cals each snacks being 100-200cals like fruit and milk or something like that for a snack
