How long does a well cared taken Betta ususally live?

Mine is two now now, and I;m just wondering,

    2-5 years BUT you never know how old they are when you get them unless you buy from a breeder.

    I have seen one that was apparently 7 years old. I have had lots of these little guys and mine average around 3 years. The ones in community tanks do really really well unless the tank gets sick. Then they are usually the first to go.

    2 to 3 years My Betta reached 5 years and 7 months before he died.

    depends on what you consider well cared for:

    most bowl set ups - 3yrs or under

    a proper tank - 4yrs - 7yrs
