How come some Christians claim that the "Holy Ghost" dwells inside them...?
...yet they don't know the answers to most of their religious questions?

They use it as an excuse, for their delusion

Most Christians only repeat what they are told and really have no idea what they are saying. This to them "sounds like a good thing to say" yet they have never examined their own conscience. They don't know what the gifts and the fruits of the Holy Spirit are. They need to study these things because they are not taught these things in their CCD classes. Schooling and education has deteriorated not only in the public sector but also in the religious communities. People individually are getting dumber and dumber.

I have no problem answering most questions presented in this forum nor do I shy away from difficult questions. Some I have to research but then everyone in here researches at one time or another, including you. It's unfortunate that people like you keep alive the animosity that exists between Christians and unbelievers. R&S would actually be a much more pleasent place to visit if this didn't take place.

As a Muslim you believe that The Holy Spirit is the Angel Gabriel (Surah 2:193) and the Comforter is Mohamed. *In God's Word-the Bible - Jesus states: "And I will pray the Father, and He shall give you another Comforter, that He may abide with you for ever; even the 'Spirit' of Truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it sees Him not, neither know Him: 'but you know Him; for He dwells with you, and shall be in you'. -John 14:16-17 . And Jesus states: "But the Comforter, which is the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He shall teach you all things and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you." -John 14:26 *Jesus stated in the above Scriptures: ...and you (His followers) know Him-for He dwells with you and dwells 'in' you.*Jesus states that-The Holy Spirit-is the Spirit of Truth; and that The Holy Spirit is the Comforter.
Islam is based on the faulty premise that the Bible's description of God and Jesus Christ is false. Islam teaches that both Christianity and Judaism are false religions and that Islam through the Qur'an is the only faith.
When Mohamed was alive (A.D.570-632), the Bible was already in its canonical form. Mohamed - living just 700 miles south of Jerusalem, knew the Bible and rejected it. Instead he created a system that changed the nature and attributes of God. Islam rejects the loving Fatherheart of God, the divinity of the Son of God, and the person of the Holy Spirit. You cannot change the nature of the God of the Bible without changing the God you are presenting. This is for certain, Allah and God the Father of the Lord Jesus Christ are not the same.
Salvation-in the Bible (God's Word)-is a free gift and is a personal relationship with Jesus and God the Father who is a loving God. The God of Islam (Allah) is remote and is not intimate {Surah 112) and Allah does not love unconditionally {Surah 8:53). In Islam, Salvation is based on good works alone and good works will never provide salvation to human beings, because we are sinners and imperfect human beings. The Word of God-the Bible-teaches that Salvation is a free gift given by God by Grace through faith. -Eph 2:8-9

Some people seem to think the Holy Spirit frees them from the need to question their own beliefs, which frees them from the need to learn anything about their own religion. Why read deeply in the Bible or in the Christian tradition when God has already spoken directly to you? It's very convenient.

The Holy Ghost is like your conscience so you can know the difference from right and wrong, and also to bring comfort in bad times. Knowledge is a completely different thing. Not everyone can know the answer to every question. And if you tell yourself you know every answer and aspect of religion, you're a liar.

Maybe their babes in christ and just received the gift of the holy ghost. So maybe they yet have not studied enough to find the answer to their religious questions.EVEN THOUGH MOST PEOPLE WITH THE HOLY GHOST ARE SPIRITUAL NOT RELIGIOUS. When I joined my apostolic church i studied my hardest to know answers to questions asked by apostolic.

just because the holy ghost dwells within us, doesn't mean we are perfect or know everything. Which questions would you like answered? To me the journey in Christ is more important than "the answers". Then again to me, Christ is the answer.

Because Jesus himself said in John 14:16-17:
Vs 16: And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;
Vs 17: Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.
Believe me, you know it when you have been filled with the Holy Ghost. The Spirit of God possesses you!

How come?
How come you believe in evolution but you cant name all the ages readily accepted as the eons of time?
How come you believe Science can explain every thing but you cant even name the sciences?
How come you are so ready to believe in science and evolution but you don't even question their methods.
I doubt you can come up with an intellectual question for a scientist.
No all you can do is rant and rave about something you no even less of than the humanistic crap you claim to believe in.
Thank you.

Some and Most, are you a woman?
John 14:17 Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.
John 15:26 But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me:
John 16:13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.
Source(s): Some and Most do not read their Bible, but that does not make them any less a Christian than the few that do.
