How do I get invited to a Democratic Convention?

Give lots of money.

Vote in the primary election then attend the precinct convention. Or attend the caucus in your precinct. (Depends on the state you live in.)

Run for delegate from your precinct to the party's county convention. If you are elected as a delegate, run at the county convention to be elected delegate to the state convention. The state convention elects delegates to the national convention.

It all starts in your neighborhood. Your campaign for a delegate slot depends on your time available and your skills to persuade others to elect you.
