Can you feel the Mirena (not the strings) on the outside after insertion?
I just got my Mirena IUD inserted 5 days ago. The strings are in the right spot, I have checked them. But I can feel a slight uncomfortable "poke like" feeling on the outside of my body. Go to the outside of your vagina, in the center of your legs and go about to the point where the top of your underwear is. Thats where I feel it. I also want to add that my uterus is kind of tilted sideways and I always feel pressure during my period. I am at the end of my period.
I go to the doctor in 6 weeks. I think everything is fine and its just the pain of insertion (it took 3 people thirty minutes to get it inserted properly). However, I wanted to hear from those who have been there if this sounds familiar.
I also want to know of a good website about mirena that gives detailed information about it-- not the "horror story" websites, but factual info sites.
ANY help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Please contact the Doc's office that inserted the IUD!! It can become dislodged ( a common occurrence). To be on the safe side, it's best to let the Professionals to determine if placement is accurate.
