I have a kitchen sink clog. Details: We do not have a garbage disposal, we don't have an air gap in the sink that I know of. It is a double sink. The dishwasher, when I attempted to start it, also clogged the sink (I stopped the diswasher right away, obviously)

The sink fills up with water when we run the water, we can plunge it and the water goes down fairly quickly. We removed the p trap and there was only a small amount of water in it.

Against my better judgement and since my roommate thought it was a good idea, we did put Drano max gel down it, followed instructions, waited, and then afterward poured hot water down drain. It still clogs but goes down faster.

That is all the info I can give. Any advice?

I have a rockabilly, A line strapless dress that fits me in the waist and in the hips, but is too large in the bust. I'll need to take the bust in. I have basic hand stitching skills because I've had to make alterations to costumes before, but I've never taken in the bust. I think I know how to do it but could anyone explain it for me, or point me to some videos that show how? I cannot take it to a tailor as I don't have the funds and need the dress on Saturday.

Aside from the "obvious" answers like Frederick's or VS, which don't really have a good selection in plus sizes, even though they do have nice stuff in smaller sizes, I'm looking for some lingerie and I was wondering if anyone out there had any online stores they frequent? I've been searching but the selections offering plus sizes aren't really very sexy... I even went on Torrid and there wasn't much of a selection. Help anyone?

I have a magnavox MT2024 model television that I have not used since 2007. Our internet comes with our brand new apartment so I am trying to hook up my television to cable. I purchased a coaxial cable and hooked it up to my television. I get some channels but not others. My settings on the television are set to cable and also set to not skip channels. Recently I've gained about 40 pounds. I am the same size that I was when I weighed 40 pounds less. My body hasn't gotten bigger, and I have not incresed in dress size or anything of the like. My measurements are about the same. No, I am not and cannot be pregnant-- I have not had sex in about 6 months and I've taken a pregnancy test at the hospital since then (because I had ankle surgery). This weight gain has been over about 8 months or so-- but the last ten pounds the weight gain happened in one week.

Yes, I want to see the doctor about this, as soon as I can pay off my past due bill I'mm be going.

Oh yes-- I've been eating healthier, not overdoing any snacking, or anything like that. And don't attack me and tell me I'm overweight and need to exercise, because I know I'm overweight and I have recently began excercising again, as of a week ago. I know this isn't muscle weight gain, because as I said I've only begun reexercising a week ago. The ten pound weight gain in one week happened before this.

First and Foremost, yes, I am going to call the doctor concerning this issue.

I got my Mirena IUC inserted back in August of 2008. I had the usual bleeding, which stopped around late October. I have not had a period, nor have I bled at all, since November.

The past couple of weeks or so, I have bled daily. I would describe it as a very light flow, similar to what you would have on day 5 of your period. I also have mild cramps. I have pain on the right/left sides of my body which feels like the pain you get when ovulating.

There is very little chance of Ectopic pregnancy. I had surgery on my ankle December 1st, and the hospital made me take a pregnancy test, which was negative. I have not had sex since before my ankle surgery.

Has anyone else had this issue? What might be the cause?

And again, yes, I do plan on calling the doctor.

I have a 3 week old kitten abandoned by its mother. The mother stopped feeding the kitten milk. We have other momma cats in the yard that will usually take over the raising of the kitten, but this time none of the mother cats did. (and yes we are working to get them fixed). I took the kitten to the vet and she told me to give him the milk (kitten replacement milk) every hour for a bit and then to mix it with canned kitten food. The kitten food is watered down with the kitten replacement milk, and the kitten has eaten it today.

Problem is, I can't stimulate him into pooping. I am rubbing him in the belly and in the anus with a cotton ball dipped in warm water. But no matter what I do, I can't get him to use the bathroom.

Is there a trick to it?? Should I take him back to the vet?? Because he was skin and bones a couple of days ago, and now his belly is inflamed alot.

We have some cats that live outside our home, and one of the females had babies. Problem is, she has no more milk and has stopped feeding the babies. Only one is left (They were scattered in different places on the property) alive, and he is very malnourished.

I have some powdered kitten milk left over from earlier this year, when I had to feed some other kittens (because they were sick).

I have a heating pad under a towel on medium, and the kitten is in the towel. I am doing this because the kitten is very cold and hanging onto life by a thread. But how much should I feed it and how often should I feed it?? The kitten was fine a few days ago, but is now skin and bones.

And yes, we are working to get all these outdoor cats spayed and neutured.

I live out in the country on a very big property, and we have aquired a good many cats. People drop their strays off and such. Unfortunately the area that I live in is not too kind to animals. People kill dogs and cats for fun around here, which is why the cats have a safe place to live on our property. There are about 30 or 40 wild cats and kittens total. They all live outside and stay around the property, so we feed them and all that. We are in the process of getting all the females spayed. So far about 8 of the females are fixed.

Anyways, during one of the trips to the vet we learned that the cats have ear mites. We have some medicine for it, but it costs nineteen dollars per cat. So that is alot of money for all the cats.

I am wondering if there is an herbal remedy or some other natural remedy for ear mites. Or, does anyone know where we can get cat medicine for very cheap??

I just got my Mirena IUD inserted 5 days ago. The strings are in the right spot, I have checked them. But I can feel a slight uncomfortable "poke like" feeling on the outside of my body. Go to the outside of your vagina, in the center of your legs and go about to the point where the top of your underwear is. Thats where I feel it. I also want to add that my uterus is kind of tilted sideways and I always feel pressure during my period. I am at the end of my period.

I go to the doctor in 6 weeks. I think everything is fine and its just the pain of insertion (it took 3 people thirty minutes to get it inserted properly). However, I wanted to hear from those who have been there if this sounds familiar.

I also want to know of a good website about mirena that gives detailed information about it-- not the "horror story" websites, but factual info sites.

I just got my Mirena IUD inserted an hour ago. The doctor wanted me to get it done during my period, so my flow is rather heavy today. Usually I wear tampons but since I got the IUD inserted I was going to wear pads this time. However, I wore two overnight pads and they leaked, so I inserted a tampon. I put in an OB tampon.

Is this okay, do you think?? I know you can eventually use tampons again, but is it okay the day of the insertion?? THANKS!!

I had asked a similar question previously in another of the "health" sections but the people who answered my question misunderstood what I was asking.

Anyways, for those of you five foot two who are female and over 21 (since sometimes size and weight can be lowed when you are under 21), I have a couple of questions.

My questions are mainly for those of you who are EITHER a size 16/18 or around 190 pounds.

If you are a size 16/18-- what is your weight, and if you are around 190 pounds, what is your pants size??

For both sets of women, what is your frame size. Meaning, do you have a small, medium, or large frame? (wrap your thumb and middle finger around your wrist. If they overlap you are small. If they touch you are medium, and if they don't touch you have a large frame).

Have you ever gained a bunch of weight (around 20 pounds) and not gotten any bigger at all??

Finally- and this is optional-- what is your waist size and your hip size?

I am asking all of these questions because I have an unusually large weight and size for my frame, and my doctor and I are working together to determine if there is an abnormal reason for this, such as a weird growth, tumor, or the like, so I am seeing how other people weigh in regards to their size.

I am five foot two, female, age 31 and 190 pounds. I wear a size 16 (USA sizes). I am not muscular, and in fact have been very small most of my life. For example, at age 18 I was 92 pounds and wore a size 1. I don't want to weight that little again, that isn't the problem.

My question is, does my weight seem normal? I have seen many women who weight less than I do and are my height and are much larger. In fact, no one believes me when I tell them my weight.

I have a doctors appointment in 3 weeks just in case anyone tells me to go to the doctor.

But does my weight seem normal to anyone (not the overweight or unhealthy weight, I know it is that) What I mean is-- being 5 foot 2 and 190 pounds, wearing size 16-- basically my stomach is about 38 inches and my hips are about 42 inches. Do I weigh more than most people with my same body type?
