Is my weight too much for my body type (not asking if I am overweight)?

I am five foot two, female, age 31 and 190 pounds. I wear a size 16 (USA sizes). I am not muscular, and in fact have been very small most of my life. For example, at age 18 I was 92 pounds and wore a size 1. I don't want to weight that little again, that isn't the problem.

My question is, does my weight seem normal? I have seen many women who weight less than I do and are my height and are much larger. In fact, no one believes me when I tell them my weight.

I have a doctors appointment in 3 weeks just in case anyone tells me to go to the doctor.

But does my weight seem normal to anyone (not the overweight or unhealthy weight, I know it is that) What I mean is-- being 5 foot 2 and 190 pounds, wearing size 16-- basically my stomach is about 38 inches and my hips are about 42 inches. Do I weigh more than most people with my same body type?

Update:

Wanted to add something. To give you an idea of my frame, when I wrap my thumb and index finger around my wrist, they touch. I have very small hands, they fit into a size small latex glove. And again, women with similar weights and heights are usually twice my size, I am worried there may be something wrong since I gained twenty pounds and did not get any bigger at all. My BFs Mom did the same, and it turned out she had a very large tumor, hence why I am going to the doctor. I actually went already and had some tests done, I go back the last week of August.

You are overweight, IMO. That weight is going to cause you joint problems. As you get older you may also end up diabetic and with high cholesterol and high blood pressure. You're risking your health! Try a support group for losing weight and start walking. Your stomach is 38 inches--do you mean your waist? Take a good look in the mirror, sister. What's going to happen to you if you have kids?

Actually, I'm very surprised you weight that much, too. I never would've guessed. A couple years ago, I weighed around 180 and was wearing a size 16 -- but I was also 5'8". It does seem like you weigh more than other people of your size, but it probably depends on body type and other factors like that. I know you said you are not muscular, but maybe that is what a lot of your weight is. Since you're going to the doctor's in a couple of weeks, you should probably ask him/her this same question.

And I'm sure you already know this, but the main thing is that you're healthy!
