both are very expensive to repair and service but the Saab is on the consumer reports used cars to Avoid list.
so by least worst the Volvo is a better choice.
unless you've owned an Audi or Saab before your in for a rude awakening.

The Saab was really unreliable for the first 2 Years. I mean really unreliable; it was the second worst in the country.
The Volvo is newer, most likely less money, and may still be on warranty. Go for the Volvo, unless you want to spend a little more money and get 2006 9-3.
Good Luck

They are pretty much equal in every way. They compete with each other and both are made in the same countries. Both are expensive to maintain. Both are safe. The Saab is more sporty to me. Gas mileage is pretty much the same. Comfort is the same. Test drive them and see what you like driving better. Or choose the one you think looks better.

They are both very good cars, but personally I would go with the Saab.
A. It has more kick to it
B. It is made by GM and Volvo is part of Ford(I hate fords)
C. It will last you longer.
If not the Volvo is still good.
A. It's is a bit safer
B. Parts are more expensive
