My girlfriend and I went two years ago in April and if I am totally honest we could have got alot better for what we spent on the holiday. Our feeling was it was an up and coming area to visit and we may pay to get there but once in the country it would be cheap, we were wrong! April is the end of the season so it was quite quiet and alot of restaurants, shops etc outside the resort were closed, so it gave a slightly bleak feel to the area. The resort was lovely, clean and well maintained however we are not really one place people so wanted to get out and see things. Wasn't long before we were resort people, as soon as you left the gates your were hounded by people, offering everything to day trips, food, drink, drugs, women etc and at times quite uneasy (I am not old, 35 large male) as you may get around 10 people at once. If they heard your name, they would start shouting it as soon as you were out. Even going to the shop outside the resort was a pain. Due to this and the one trip we did go on (Monkey park thing where our driver admitted he was 13years old!) which was poor, we stayed in the resort, which was UK priced plus. However even there I did not trust the staff, there seemed to be an 'angle' with anyone who tried to be-friend you.

Overall, not wanting to put the place down as it may have changed but it was a pain, the coast is very windy, no snorkling, sandy sea. Not the best for us. Good luck.

I went for just a week in Jan., two years ago, as the other writer says as soon as you are out of the resort people follow you in the street and it's hard to get rid of them without being blunt or rude.

The weather was hot, people annoying and not too much to do, go elsewhere and enjoy the peace & quiet.
