Do all dogs hate birds?

Dogs are predators, only unlike cats, many dog breeds are specifically trained to hunt/attack/retrieve birds.. (That is why unlike the Tweety bird cartoon, dogs are the biggest threat to pet birds, not cats.)

So yes, it's normal, no, she isn't being territorial.

I could be territorial, could be wanting to catch them, or could be both. What breed is your dog? Does she act that way about rabbits or squirrels or other dogs? If she is a 'hunting' dog, that would explain it.

My dog doesn't hate them. He doesn't really care, for the most part. He loves geese, though. There is a big pond/lake next to my house, and he'll jump in the water to go 'play' with them. xD He's a Flat-Coated Retriever mix, though. A big sweetie.

So I can't really say it's 'normal', in a way. But it's normal for dogs to be territorial, and depending on the breed, it can be normal to chase birds.

dogs do not hate birds. its part of their instincts to chase things and possibly kill or eat them. and yes it is normal for dogs to be territorial.

Normal animal behavior, especially if its not your bird. If you were to train your dog to respect birds he may not catch them. This takes months to implement but it's possible.

alot og dogs chase birds but not all dogs hate them my dog is a weim wich is supposed to retreive fallen birds but she lived with 4 and was fine it depends on the dog

My dog chases them too. But she is a Beagle mix so she likes to hunt. :)
