I live in Monroe,Louisiana and my finace is working in Belle Chasse,La on the news earlier today it is said that Gustav is going straight for Belle Chasse,La and New Orleans. Our govener Bobby Jendel already called a state of emergency for Louisiana. The wind speeds projected for it and the rain fall is very high and dangerous. My fiancee and all the workers at the Conaco Phillips Oil Alliance are getting their belongings and comming home on friday. So to all of you who are preparing for this hurricane good luck and be safe.

I live in Louisiana and my local weather forcasters keep on saying that it might come here,in Southeastern Louisiana, with 115 mph winds and 9-12 feet flood surges.

I'm am really not in the mood for another Katrina.Who would want to go through all of that, anyway?

Anyway, good luck to you and everyone else who are preparing for this.

I live in Carlyss, LA and I am afraid that this one will hit the same place Rita (the forgotten hurricane) hit. Cameron/Holly Beach area. We had major damage in our area and power was out for over two weeks for Rita but no one ever talks about that one.

    Source(s): My own experience
  • The weather channels telling me that new orleans is most likely going to be hit by gustave, but it's no doubt that mississippi or alabama will get hit.
